Isabell Burton

Isabell Burton, 71, of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at her residence in Madisonville. She was born April 14, 1948 in Benton, KY to the late Nickless Smith and Marion Nell Cornwell. Isabell retired as a school teacher in Hopkins County and was a member of Madisonville Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Murray State University and Freed Hardeman University. She enjoyed reading and working in the yard, along with spoiling her grandkids. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kerry Burton; one son, Kerry Dwayne (Tiffany) Burton of Dawson Springs, KY; one daughter-in-law, Charity Burton of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Burton and Mallory Burton; one sister, Elizabeth Schroader of Bells, TN; two brothers, Nicky (Debra) Smith of Benton, KY and David (Vickie) Smith of Benton; step mother, Doris Dowdy Smith of Benton; one step sister, two step brothers, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Don McBrayer officiating. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Marshall County. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
