Harold B. Hurt, 91, of Salem, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016. Preceded in death by his parents, William Wallace and Carrie Buford (Pinkard) Hurt; brother, William ("Bill") Wallace, Jr.; and sister, Frances Hurt. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Tom Hurt and wife, Yuko; siblings, Richard Hurt and wife, Marie, Robert Hurt and wife, Jill, Nancy Mowles, and Eva Richardson; grandchildren, Thomas Hurt and wife, Anna, and Chie Hurt; and great-grandchildren, William and Daniel Hurt; as well as a special friend, Opel. A period of visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, with military honors.
