Richard Brewer, Jr. Obituary

MOHAWK - Our charismatic and beautiful son and brother, Richard “Richie” Ryan Brewer, Jr., of State Route 28, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, February 13, 2020, while working in his field of masonry and construction in Albany, New York. Richie was born on September 13, 2000, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Town of New Hartford, New York and was raised with love and compassion. Richie had it all: Intelligence, confidence, athletic ability, height, beautiful eyes, broad smile, fantastic wit, sensitivity and the ability to engage and forge a relationship with anyone. He was a graduate of Central Valley Academy ‘Class of 2018’ and attended Herkimer County BOCES where he concentrated on heavy equipment operation. He was currently employed with KM Masonry, Greenfield Center, New York, as a masonry worker. We loved Richie with all our hearts and fondly reflect upon his passion for hunting and animals. With his seemingly endless positive traits, he had the potential to be anything. Yet, his greatest hope and aspiration eventually someday revolved around becoming a farmer. Richie was a solid student and accomplished athlete, especially having excelled in football, a video gamer through and through and a very likeable young man. We love you and miss you dearly Richie. Beloved and cherished by his family: his mother and father, Amanda and Joe Arndt, of Mohawk; and his father Richard R. Brewer, Sr., of Ilion; two brothers, Mitchell and Justin Arndt, of Mohawk; his sister, Brittany Brewer, of Ilion; his grandparents, Phyllis and Jim Brewer, of Ilion, Lori Croniser and Jack Hall, of Mohawk, Jim Arndt and Audrey Grower, of St. Johnsville, Fred and Kelli Croniser, of Port Leyden and Francis Young, of Mohawk; his girlfriend, Paige Prusakowski, of Mohawk; his best friend, Tristan Williams, of Mohawk; and many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved. He also is survived by his beloved dog and fondly referred to as his son, “Gunner”. Funeral services for Richie will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020, at 7:00 PM, at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion, New York, with Rev. Brian Engel, officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral services at the funeral home on Monday as well, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and family and friends are welcome to the calling hours and funeral service. Those wishing to remember Richie in a special way, as requested by his family, are asked to consider a donation in his memory to the Fort Plain Animal Hospital, 13 River Street, Fort Plain, New York 13339 as an ongoing tribute to his absolute love of animals. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home for this purpose. Richie’s family sends out a warm heartfelt thank you to Tristan Williams for being at Richie’s side, to Albany Medical Center and to the entire community as a whole for all their thoughts and prayers. It is an honor for Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia to assist the family throughout the arrangements during this very difficult time.
