Donald Curtis Meinecke

After a short illness Donald Curtis Meinecke left this world. He is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Richard and Kim Meinecke of Oklahoma City, and Phillip and Tracey Meinecke of Edmond, 5 grandsons and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Meinecke, his parents, Roy and Amy Meinecke and sister Joyce Douglas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Don graduated from US Grant highschool in 1956. He was 4 years in the United States Air Force, then served the community of The Village as a police officer for 10 years. In 1970 he found opportunity with Safeway/Homeland warehouses where he was a union steward for Teamsters local 886 before accepting a management position from which he retired from in 1993. During his retirement he enjoyed working as armed security part time
