OBITUARY Mary Ellen Myers, 76, of Kansas, passed away at 4:47 pm Thursday February 13, 2020 at Flower Hospital Sylvania. She was born November 27, 1943 in Kansas to the late Paul A. “Curt” and Anna Rose (Wammes) Nye. She married Carl E. Myers October 19, 1963 in Millersville and he survives in Kansas. Also surviving is a daughter, Beth (Nate Brubaker) Myers, Helena; two sons, Boyd Myers, Kansas and Clay (Heather Eidenour) Myers, Kansas; five grandchildren, Josh and Paige Busdiecker, Isaiah Brubaker, Carter and Peyton Myers; three sisters, Barbara Thaxton, Risingsun, Joann (Jerry) Widmer, Burgoon and Kate (Alvin) Reinhart, Kansas; aunt, Rita (the late Clarence) Wammes Jr., Fremont; and uncle, Ray Wammes, Marblehead. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Jo Busdiecker (2015). Mary attended Jackson Liberty School and had worked at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria and Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont as a Nurse’s Aide for over 25 years. She loved to read and cook for her family. Mary especially loved her grandchildren with many fond memories of them playing Uno. She enjoyed TV game shows, her favorite was Family Feud. And she liked to socialize, keeping up on the latest news. Private family visitation has taken place. Burial will be in Kansas Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date for family and friends.
