Joan Ratkowski, age 86, died Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Rahway NJ. Born February 18, 1933 in Staten Island NY, Joan was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Hauser) Mason. Joan moved to Rosemont NJ and lived there for more than twenty years before moving to Hillsborough NJ more than ten years ago. She began work for Farmer’s Mutual Insurance Company as a Data Input worker and eventually was promoted to an Insurance Underwriter with that company. Joan enjoyed listening to record albums with her family and her trips to Atlantic City as she got older. She was an accomplished bowler and enjoyed going to Maximum Fitness in Flemington for many years. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Frank Ratkowski in 1994. She is survived by her sons, Frank Ratkowski of Raritan NJ and Wayne Ratkowski of Delaware Township NJ, as well as her four grandchildren, Dale, Dayton, Sarah Lynn, and Frankie Ratkowski. Graveside services officiated by the Rev. Matthew Marinelli will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Rosemont Cemetery in Rosemont NJ. There are no calling hours.
