Earlene C. Flood Obituary

Earlene Flood passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, February 14, 2020. She was 68 years old. The daughter of the late Robert Tillman and Leila Josephine Head, Earlene was born in Macon, Georgia. She was a strong, hard-working woman, who had an unconditional love for her family. Earlene was a devoted wife to her husband, a wonderful mother to her four beautiful children, and was always there for her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Grandma” and “Mema”. One never had to guess what was on Earlene’s mind because it was usually spoken. A vacation to Earlene was attending the Gator Nationals and watching the funny cars race. She was a marvelous woman and her memory will be cherished by many. In addition to her parents, Earlene was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Dean Flood; granddaughter, Jamie Leigh Boney; and sister, Norma Jean Thompson. Earlene is survived by her children, Tammy Sundry, Teresa Hendricks, Tommy Hendricks, and Tasha Long (Gary); grandchildren, Reva Tait (John), Rachel Sundry, Justin Boney (Leah), Joseph Toland, Jacob Boney, Mackenzie Hendricks, Victoria O’Connor, Mallorie McKinnon, and Trip Long; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Pete Head (Rhonda); and special sister, Juanita Head, who cared for Earlene during her final days. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Flood will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
