Sarah Virginia Sallee
Sarah V. Sallee, 82, of Union Grove, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. Born in Cambridge, Ohio on August 13, 1937, she was the daughter of John and Mary (nee Layjack) Kucherak. Her early life was spent in Lorain County, Ohio and she was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School in Ohio. On March 18, 1961 in LaGrange, Ohio, she was united in marriage to Clayton Sallee. Following marriage, they resided in Ohio before moving to Texas, Michigan and Union Grove, Wisconsin 3 years ago. Sarah worked as a church secretary for Ambassador Baptist Church in Royal Oak, Michigan. Following their move to Union Grove she and Clayton joined the Union Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed church activities such as AWANA. Her biggest thrill was watching and attending her three sons’ and grandkid’s sporting events. She also loved bowling and was in several leagues and enjoyed watching various sporting events. Sarah is survived by her husband, Clayton; children, David, Glen and Mark (Ruth) Sallee; and grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Dana, Grace, Luke and Jonah. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Mildred (Louis) Molnar, Ruth (Donald) Rote, Eleanor (Andy) Orahoske, Mary Ann Kucherak and Edward (Dorothy) Kucherak; daughter-in-law, Nancy Sallee and grandson Jesse. Funeral Services for Sarah will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 6pm at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends can visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4pm until 5:45pm. Burial will take on Wednesday February 19th at 11am at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Sarah’s memory can be given to the Union Grove Baptist Church.
