Robert Eugene “Bub” McDaniel, 55 HARTFORD CITY – Robert Eugene “Bub” McDaniel, 55, succumbed to his 16 month battle with cancer, with his family at his side at 4:13 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Hartford City on March 9, 1964 the son to the late Robert Gene McDaniel and the late Vivian “Jean” (Lugar) McDaniel. Bub graduated from Blackford High School in 1982. He was a flooring installer for J.R. Flooring for 25 years. On August 24, 2019 in Montpelier Bub married Stephanie Jean (Pierce). He attended Calvary Christian Lighthouse Church in Hartford City. He was a member of The Freedom Riders Chapter 7 (Vice-President) and the American Legion both out of Bluffton. Bub loved to ride his motorcycle, help in charity fund raisers and running sound. He enjoyed dirt track racing and had formerly raced at Montpelier Motor Speedway. Bub will be sadly missed by his wife, Stephanie J. Pierce McDaniel of Hartford City; children, Shad Robert McDaniel (companion, Meagan Westfall) of Hartford City, Shasta R. McDaniel-Higgins of Columbus, IN, Candace M. McIntire of Eaton, Devon L. (wife, Taylor) McDaniel of Fort Wayne, Madison T. Dudding of Marion and Braden C. Liddick of Hartford City; 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Margaret Bell of Montpelier and Linda (husband, Jerry) Hunt of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany L. Hartley. Celebration of Life Service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Calvary Christian Lighthouse Church, 2101 North Walnut Street, Hartford City with Pastor Troy Kaufman officiating.
