Winnie Lou (Lamb) Gibson

Winnie Lou (Lamb) Gibson, 68, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, at The Good Samaritan Home. Winnie was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 16, 1952, to the late Raymond and Lillian (Powell) Lamb. She retired from Southerland Mattress after many years of service. Winnie was very active with Keck Church food pantry and was a devoted member of Creekside Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and baking. Winnie also enjoyed her time working at Buehler's Buy Low decorating cakes. She loved animals, especially her cat Kodi. Winnie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles Gibson of Evansville, IN; daughter, Sylvia Gibson of Evansville, IN; son, James Gibson (Tracey) of Evansville, IN; twin sister, Mary Adams (David) of Evansville, IN; brothers, Don "Sonny" Lamb of Evansville, IN, Paul Lamb of Slaughters, KY, and Charles Lamb (Sandra) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Christi Branscum (Chris), Charly Phillips, Shawn Gibson, and Emily Gibson; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond R. Lamb and Adam L. Lamb; and by her granddaughter, Trisha Phillips. A celebration of Winnie's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Don Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2020, at the funeral home and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.
