Ms. Deborah Kay Sitz, a resident of Oakview Manor in Ozark, died Friday, February 14, 2020, in Dale Medical Center. She was 63 years old. A memorial service for Ms. Sitz will be held at a later date. Debbie was born November 25, 1956 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Albert Wesley Sitz and Glennie Ruth Goodson Sitz. She attended Carroll High School where she was a member of the Carroll High ROTC. Debbie worked many years as a waitress at Dykes Grocery and Restaurant located at 231 North of Ozark. She was an avid reader. Her favorite books were horror and fiction, with Stephen King being her favorite author. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Sitz Sauls and Linda Sitz Atkins. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Eric Hartzog of Columbiana, Michael (Vanessa) Brinkley of Anniston; six grandchildren; one sister, Christine Sitz Roberts of Ozark; three brothers, Jimmy Sitz of Perry, Georgia, Albert Wesley Sitz, Jr. and Bobby (Judy) Sitz of Ozark.
