Funeral services for Janice McAteer, 76, of Brownsboro have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday February 17, 2020 at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beck’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday February 16, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Janice McCoy was born in Chapel Hill, Texas on October 9, 1943. She went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2020.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Florine McCoy; sister, Deborah McCoy, Brother Ronald McCoy, son-in-law, Nick Conner.
Janice was a devoted employee of Carrier for over 37 years. She loved tending to her flowers, crocheting fishing, and loved spending time with her family. She had an amazingly kind heart and a giving spirit, always wanting to help anyone in need.
Janice is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Lee Kent McAteer, Sr. of Brownsboro: son, Lee McAteer Jr. of Brownsboro; daughter, Traci McAteer of Cross Roads; son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Kelcey McAteer of Brownsboro. Grandchildren: Danny McAteer, Rebekah and Cable Campbell and John McAteer of Athens. Great Granddaughters Coral and Cambria Campbell from Athens. Siblings: William and Ima McCoy of Belton; Ronnye McCoy of Temple; Charles McCoy of Longview; Barbara Mercer of Jacksonville, Florida; Patricia and Paul Ruskauff of Arkansas. As well as numerous nieces and nephew and extended family
Pallbearers will be John McAteer, Dean Hostetler, Chance Gabbard, Logan Cooper, Cable Campbell, Nick Gould, Wesley Jennings, and Justin Holcomb.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canton FireFighter Association Cancer fund.
Arrangements will be entrusted to Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home
