Gil Obordo, Jr. of Rockville, MD passed on Thursday, February 13, 2020 with his family by his side, he was 60 years old. Gil is survived by his wife, Concepcion P. Obordo. Loving Father of Jillian, Jazmine, and Jacqueline, Cherished son of Natividad Ordono and stepson of Jerry Ordono, Dear brother of Cedric, Clarissa, Gilene, Roberto, Michelle, and Annie, Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Gil was predeceased by his father, Gil Obordo Sr, and his older brother, Cedric Obordo. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of nature and being outdoors. Gil loved to entertain his family and friends, whether that was with a big barbeque in the backyard or having a jam session with his piano, guitar, and a few beers. He was always a creative, hands-on, and crafty man. He was gifted in wood-work and carpentry. Amongst his many projects, he had crafted a beautiful pool table and placed it in the backyard for everyone to enjoy. His other passions were cars but most importantly – fishing. Fishing was something that he truly loved and shared that love with his family. There’s something thrilling about waking up before the sun rises, driving to Solomon’s Island and seeing “Bunky’s Charter Boats”. There are so many memories that his wife, Chona, and his daughters will always remember. He loved with his whole heart and always offered to help others. He will be truly missed by family and friends. We hope he is on a boat in Heaven, fishing with his brother, Cedric, in peace. The family will receive friends at Robert A. Pumphrey Funeral Home, Rockville, Inc., 300 W. Montgomery Ave, Rockville, MD 20850 on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20853 on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11 AM.
