Dorothy Lillian Kaptis

Dorothy Lillian Kaptis, 88 of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed away on Thursday February 13, 2020 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, West Virginia of a short illness. Dorothy was born August 26, 1931 in Earlehurst Virginia and later moved to Big Ridge to live, was the daughter of Bernard and Mary Dickson. Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, White Sulphur Springs for many years. She was a homemaker; she was avid Bingo player for many years and she loved gardening. Her cat “PUDDIN” was of great comfort to her. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Charles Kaptis , sister Elizabeth (Libby Bradley), brothers Marlan Dickson, Paul Dickson, James Dickson, William (Bill ) Dickson, grandsons, Brent Clinebell and John Kaptis. She is survived by three sons, Paul Kaptis (wife, Sandy) of Port Charlotte, Fl., Steve Kaptis of Hot Springs, VA. Jimmy Kaptis ( wife, Lorie) of Caldwell, West Virginia and daughters Margaret White (Bobby) of WSS., and Joyce ( Roy) Clinebell of Sterling, Virginia, grandchildren Dimitrois Kaptis, FL. Christopher White, of WSS, Jennifer White-Bisek (Phillip) of Keysville, VA, Charles Kaptis (wife Erica) of WSS, and Chelsea Brownfield of NC, and 14 great- grandchildren several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral services which will be conducted at 1 pm, Monday, the 17th of February at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs. Interment will follow at the Hylton Cemetery at Earlehurst, Va. Pallbearers will be Phillip White-Bisek, Christopher White, Bobby R. White, Charles Kaptis, Roy Clinebell.
