Arthur “Art” J. Gregg age 85 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 5:25 PM on February 13, 2020 at the McLean County Nursing Home, Normal, IL. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-4:00 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. His funeral service will be 4:00 PM on Sunday, at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home. Rev. Dr. Jim Warren will be officiating. Private family inurnment will be at Funks Grove Cemetery, McLean, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Route 66 Association or the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Art was born July 5, 1934 in Bloomington, IL the son Arthur E. and Gladys Enlow Gregg. He married Peggy Allison on July 3, 1966 in Bloomington, IL. She survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Nancy (Joseph) Gross, Bloomington, IL, 1 granddaughter Grace Lukoskie, Bloomington, IL, 3 brothers, George (Delores) Gregg, Waterville, Ohio, John (Shirley) Gregg, Elmwood Park, IL, Thomas Gregg, Chicago, IL, 2 sisters, Marilee Evans, Roanoke, VA, Ruth Costello, Nevada City, CA and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Art is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Lucy Koehler and Elizabeth Weppler. Art was a member of First Christian Church, Bloomington, IL. He had worked at Normal Community High School and Lincoln College. Art had also worked at Modine Manufacturing and Servomation vending company.
