Robert Lee “BUCKSHOT” Gosnell, 77, of Sylva NC., Passed away on Thursday February 13, 2020 at Autumn Care of Waynesville after a period of declining health. Buck was a member of First Baptist Church Sylva and was also an avid hunter, fisherman, ginseng digger, and flea marketer. He loved spending time with his two grandsons. Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae Biddix Gosnell and Maxwell “Mack” Gosnell. Siblings: Charles “Charlie” Gosnell, Joseph “Joe” Gosnell, Danny Gosnell, Muriel Gosnell Ashe. and his son, Gregory “Greg” Gosnell. He is survived by brothers, Michael “Mike” Gosnell, James Dequana. Sisters, Mary Prior, Elaine White, Jean Ashe, and Yanna Gosnell. Mother of his sons, Lucille “Lou” Hawks Gosnell. A Son, Steve Gosnell and Grandsons Gavin Gosnell, and Garin Gosnell all of Fletcher Along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday February 15 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery, located at 540 Long Branch Rd, Sylva, NC 28779
