Connie Jean Issleb, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at home in the loving care of her daughter Darcy in Carlisle Iowa at the age of 85 Connie was born May 27, 1934 in Lake Placid, New York in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains to Adna and Goldie Reid Connie enjoyed playing cards and getting together with her friends. To say she was a social butterfly was an understatement. In her younger years she was a prolific rug crafter. She enjoyed walking her dogs in the mountain woods. Connie was always a comfort to her family with kind words of encouragement and understanding, a good listener and was generous to a fault. Connie is survived by her children Kay Host, Ron Issleb (Spouse Gale) and Darcy Martin. Her 5 grandchildren Brian (Buck), Charlie, Kyle., Samantha and Stephanie. 8 grand children Abigail, Nora, Penny, John, Daily, Maggie, Frankie and Franklin. Connie was preceded in death by her brother Chum Reid and her mother Goldie and Father Adna (Buck) Reid. Although Connie left her home town of Lake Placid it was always dear to her and so Connie’s wishes’ were to have her cremains to be scattered in her beloved Lake Placid mountains in up state New York Online condolences for Connie may be made at www.petersonfuneralservice.com
