Robert King

Robert Dean "Bob" King, Hume, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his home. He was born on August, 23, 1934 in Winfield, Kansas the son of Ira E. and Mary M. Zelhart King. He graduated from Walker High School in the Class of 1952. Bob worked most of his career as a manager in the propane industry. He was married to Martha Brownell on July 26, 1981. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2004. He later married Shirley Arbogast Brooks on December 3, 2005. Bob was a member of the Hume United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer. He was also Trustee of the Howard Township Board, member of the Hume Lion''s Club and very much enjoyed attending his grandkids activities. Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley, son, Doug King and wife Tammy, two daughters, Kathy Wood and husband Kevin, and Diana Morrison and husband David, numerous grand, great and great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10 am Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Hume United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery, Walker, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 pm Sunday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Hume Booster Club.
