James Leon Glass age 82 of Linden, AL died February 13, 2020 at his home. He was born May 16, 1937 in Linden, AL to James Walter and Levie Alberta Glass. He was retired and prior to his recent illness enjoyed spending his time gardening, hunting, fishing, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sarah W. Glass of Linden, AL; two children, William Donald Glass (Anne) of Cummings, GA and Melanie G. Hinson-Maldonado (Chip) of Hoover, AL; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Glass of Jemison, AL; sister, Betty Gunter of Monroeville, AL; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, James Dennis Glass. Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Rev. Daniel Gandy and Rev. Pike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Octagon Cemetery. Arrangements by O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home.
