Bob passed on February 13, 2020, in the VA HJ Heinz Center Hospice in Aspinwall.  He was 88 years old.  Bob was the husband of the late Catherine Marlovits Fritz.  Father of Robert J. (Lynn) Fritz, Carrie M. (Eric) McCarthy and Cathleen M. Fritz.  Brother of David Fritz, Audrey Rorison, Evelyn Samlow, and Grace Vozel.  Grandfather of Christina, Jessica and Amanda Fritz, Eric and Caitlin McCarthy. Great-grandfather of Jacob, Natalia, Zoey, and Carina.  Mr. Fritz honorably served in the US Army during the Korean conflict in Germany.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a proud 55-year member of the IBEW Local Union #5, worked for Sargent Electric, the City Of Pgh, retired from the Allegheny County Airport and also worked various other electrical jobs through his union over the years.  In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting with his father and brothers.  He was a skilled electrician but also a competent 'jack of all trades', he enjoyed working so much that he referred to it as "physical therapy" (especially working in the yard!) He was the most organized man alive!  (especially his garage & tools! )  He fed the birds before making his own breakfast every morning. Nicknamed "the Energizer Bunny" he was always willing to help repair, move or fix things for others at no charge. He was an excellent bowler with a style all his own!  He loved his family above all else;  His warm smile & demeanor will be greatly & dearly missed by all who knew him!
