Funeral Mass for Laura M. Gartner, 87, of Glen Ullin will be at 10:30 a.m., CT, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin, ND with Fr. Jeffrey Zwack celebrating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., CT, Friday, December 20, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with a Rosary and Vigil taking place at 6:00 p.m. Laura passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Laura Mae was born to August and Catherine (Braun) Schaaf on January 24, 1932 in Morton County, ND. In May of 1951 Laura married Arlouis (Al) Gartner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin, ND. She is survived by her sons, Joshua (Linda) of Glen Ullin, Keith (Vicki) of Houston, TX, and Lance (Anissa) of Glen Ullin; daughter, Perdita (Richard) Murray, of Depoe Bay, OR; Siblings, Augie (Leona) Schaaf of Glen Ullin and Orveil (Paulette) Schaaf of El Dorado Springs, MO; sister-in-law, Leah Schaaf of Houston, TX; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Al; her parents; brother, Donald Schaaf; Sister, Lillian Gribbons; and brother –in-law, Marvin Gribbons.
