After graduating from high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Alan Moore Bird. To this union were born 1 son and 2 daughters, Alan Jeffery Bird, Karen Michelle Walshe and Laura Bird Long. Alice took great pride in being a homemaker, always making the best of what she had and creating a warm and inviting home for her family. Culinary delights were one of her special skills. Her last trip abroad was with her son Jeff aboard a cruise ship that accommodated a limited number of dialysis patients and traveled the Mediterranean Sea. The sound of Italian opera blasting over the ship’s airways upon the approach to Venice, Italy on a sunny afternoon was especially exhilarating and memorable.
