Rev. Alan Granat,age 63, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Thursday, March 23rd, 2017. Rev. Alan Granat was called to the full time ministry while attending a Family Camp at Ruidoso on our Nazarene campgrounds. Pastor Granat has explored many avenues in life including a degree in Electronics Technology, teaching computer repair at a tech school and professional Bowling. After God’s call to the ministry it was back to school in order to prepare for ordination. Upon completing his studies, Pastor Granat was ordained in 2002 and began studies for a Masters of Ministry Degree. In 2005 his Masters studies were complete and Pastor Granat received an Masters of Ministry degree from Point Loma Nazarene University. Pastor Granat began serving in full time ministry at Rio Vista Church of the Nazarene on the west side of Albuquerque as an Associate Pastor in 1997 where he served for 3 years. He took his first Senior Pastorate at Mountainair Church of the Nazarene and served there for 7 years. Pastor Granat and his wife, Carolyn have served faithful at Faith Family Church for nearly 9 years before Pastor Alan retired in 2016... "we leave the future in God’s hands. God will provide, lead, and instruct and by the power of the Holy Spirit His will be done." A Memorial Service will be held at Valencia Valley Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Bonita Park Nazarene Camp and Conference Center (http://bonitapark.com/). Carolyn has requested no black attire for the memorial service.
