75 years passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6th at Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham. Beloved wife of the late Don Clarke (2019). Dear mother of James D. Clarke and Todd S. (Shemia) Clarke. Cherished grandmother of Wesley J. Clarke and Jennifer R. Clarke. Sister of Jeanne (late Sooi), Mary (late Frank) Nedvidek, Isabel (John) Wisemen, late Louisa (surviving husband Marcel) Raaymaakers, Anna (Louis) Devolder, late Josie (surviving husband Lyle) Papps, late Frank (surviving wife Adel) Theuns, and late John (surviving wife Bertha) Theuns. Hilda was born in Belgium to her late parents August and Anna M. (Marynissen) Theuns. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Hilda was a hard worker who enjoyed crafting many beautiful needlepoint designs. Hilda baked a delicious rhubarb pie, which was loved by her family and friends. Friends and family will be received at Kendrick Funeral Home, (4 Victoria Ave, Chatham)on Thursday, February 20th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., where a Celebration of Hilda’s life will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2020 at 11 a.m. Donations in Hilda’s memory may be made to Friends of the Animal Shelter.
