Danelle Marene Dawson Rupert was born on June 14, 1962, and passed away peacefully on February 18, 2017, after a decades-long battle with Lupus. Danelle was born in Canton, Ohio, the third child of Shirley L. Dawson and the late W. Robert Dawson. Always extremely creative with drawing, painting & artwork, Danelle found her artistic niche as a very talented hair stylist. After graduating from cosmetology courses—something she was very passionate about-- at Canton South High School in Ohio, she began a hair stylist career at Canton’s top salon at the time. She married her high-school sweetheart, Don Rupert to whom she was married to for nearly 25 years. They later moved to Arizona in 1986. She styled hair at some of the top salons in Scottsdale. Danelle was an expert hair cutter & colorist, and had some of her work published nationally, before her illness robbed her of her ability to use scissors & tools of her trade. Preceded in death by her Father, Danelle is survived by her mother Shirley Dawson of Glendale, AZ, sister Michelle McGrew (Jim) , of Scottsdale, AZ, brother David (Liz) Dawson of Glendale, AZ, brother Doug (Troy) Dawson also of Glendale, AZ, and numerous nieces, nephews (Deana Yanus (Jason), Christopher & Coleman McGrew, Devin & Race Dawson, Cooper & Carly Dawson, and one great-niece, Chasey Yanus). A Memorial service will be open to all family and friends on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:30 pm at First United Methodist Church, 5510 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ, 85012.
