James Warren Obituary

James Robert Warren November 23, 1938 - February 5, 2020 James Robert “J.R.” Warren came into this world November 23,1938 in Spurger, TX to Monroe and Jewel Warren. He departed to go home to his Savior and Lord Jesus 81 years later, Feb 5, 2020 in Marana, Arizona. James or J.R. (short for “Just Right”) was preceded in death by his parents, along with brothers: Johnny “J.B.” Warren and Doyle Warren, and sisters: Joyce Kiger and Helen “Rene” Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alice Rose Warren or A.R. (short for “Always Right”), brothers: Lee Roy Warren (Ann) of Clarksville, AR, William “Billy” Warren (Gail) of Prairie Grove, AR, Tommy Warren (Lucinda) of Coal Hill, AR, sisters: Cathy Campbell (Nathan) of SW City, MO, Linda Johnson of Mulberry, AR and Pat Warren of Knoxville, AR. J.R. was described by his sister, Cathy as “the best brother anyone could ask for. He put everyone before himself.” He dearly loved his mother, Jewel. J.R. received Jesus as his Savior as a young man and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in his late 40’s. His occupations included machinist, welder, welding steward, and foreman. In 1969 he became a member of Pipeliners Local 798 and received his 50 Year Membership Award, April 2019. He especially loved the lifestyle of pipeline work. The families of 798 became very dear to him as they worked together across our land. J.R. has worked in every state of our nation, excluding Hawaii, laying pipelines that serve us even today. He was an encouragement and did his work with integrity! A few of the lessons he had learned over the years and shared with those who had ears to hear were: Pastor Micky Green-the “Log Jam” sermon – “Do not hold unforgiveness”; Pastor Sam Walls- “Do It Now, Obedience Now! It saves lives!”; Pastor Tom French - “The Unconditional Love of Jesus!” J.R. is best remembered as a loving, devoted husband and loyal friend. His kindness, love, and joy were evident to all who knew him. The quiet wisdom he carried was a comfort to all who sought his advice. His relationship with Jesus was real and alive! His positive calm demeanor carried a sense of comfort to those of us who knew him. An eternal optimist, he will be missed here, yet he would say, “Walk on!” with an enthusiastic, “Yes, Yes, Yes” added to it!
