LAVOIE Ms. Darlene Lavoie, age 69 years, passed away peacefully at Wilson Memorial General Hospital in Marathon, Ontario on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Darlene was born in Marathon on May 21, 1947. She lived in Heron Bay until she moved to Ignace where she raised her family. She moved to Marathon in 1990 where she lived until her death. Darlene is survived by her children Vicki Antoine (Ashley), Kimberly Benson, Keith Benson and Shelley Morand (Greg); grandchildren Jake, Jesse, Amy and Garrison and sisters Rosemarie and Kathleen. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Louise Lavoie; Brothers Billy, Donald, Leonard and Henry and sisters Shirley and Ruth. A Celebration of Darlene's Life will be held at Holy Saviour Church, in Marathon on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
