Ronan Edward Wilson, 62, Tyrone passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon October 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 29, 1954 in Altoona son of the late John E. and Ethel M. (Sneath) Wilson. He married the love of his life, Connie J. Miller in Tyrone. They shared the very same birthdate and decided to say “I do” on November 29, 1972, the same month and day, and were blessed to celebrate their anniversary and birthdays on the same day. Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Connie; three sons, Benjamin and wife, Cara Wilson of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Nate and wife, Shannon Wilson of Tyrone, and Clay Wilson of Tyrone; a grandson, Gabriel Wilson of Tyrone; and a brother, John and wife Thelma Wilson of Bellwood. He was preceded in death by his parents of Bellwood; and father and mother in-law, Reginald and Hazel Miller of Tyrone. He was a 1972 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School. Ronan was a dedicated and respected employee of New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Tyrone from 1973-2015, retiring after 43 years of service. Ronan was a devoted husband, father, and pappy. He enjoyed the outdoors with his sons, traveling, spending time with his grandson, the beach and exploring new restaurants. He had a special talent in the cooking arena and enjoyed sharing his dishes with his family during the holidays and any other occasion. There are so many words to describe Ronan but a few are loving, caring and dedicated. He was the epitome of what a good person is. He will be dearly missed by all. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the funeral home, Pastor Roy Garthwaite officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Tyrone. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Ronan’s memory be made to NINDS (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke www.ninds.nih.gov) c/o Financial Management Branch Bldg. 31 Room 8A34, 31 Center Drive MSC 2540, Bethesda, MD 20892-2540 for aide in Fahr's Syndrome research, for which his beloved wife, Connie is battling.
