Jene Sherman

Jene A. Sherman, 52 of Edgecomb, passed away at her home on the morning of March 5th. Born on September 9, 1966 in Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Joanne and Roland French. Jene grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Jene enjoyed reading, crossword and wordsearch puzzles, and watching true crime dramas. She worked in local restaurants such as the Market Cafe in Wiscasset, and her place of employment at the time of her passing, The Cracked Egg, also in Wiscasset. She enjoyed the camaraderie and the friendships she made throughout the years. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved grandmother and namesake, Jene A. Stone. She is survived by brothers, Tom Sherman of Augusta, and Roland Sherman of Chamberlain; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. A celebration of Jene’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
