Christina Dixon Denver, Colorado Obituary

Christina Dixon

Christina Dixon (November 16, 1969 – July 22, 2018) lived a life full of faith, love for practicing law, passion for music (especially Prince), and a constant dedication to serving her family, friends, and community. She would give you the shirt off her back, explain the legalities of the exchange, teach you how to get ten new shirts, and how to believe in God for the rest of your wardrobe. She taught us all how to walk by faith with an unwavering trust in God. Christina would never say she “fought” against cancer, but she did take a journey to recover from it. Though that journey ended in her death on July 22, 2018 in Houston, TX, we rejoice in the life she lived. Christina graduated from the University of Denver Strum School of Law in 1996. She was an accomplished defense attorney at several Denver-area firms before stepping out on faith to open The Dixon Law Firm in 2011. Christina was an active member of the local and national law community. She actively participated in the American Bar Association (“ABA”), Minority Trial Lawyer and Trial Evidence Committees, the Sam Cary Bar Association (CO), the Colorado and Denver Bar Association’s Legal Fee Committee, and she was one of the youngest attorneys selected for membership in the Colorado Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Christina also sat on the board of a charter school, and consulted the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center. She was an active member of Colorado Christian Fellowship where she led small groups, rode motorcycles with Wheels of Fellowship, and was ordained as a prophet in 2005. Christina married Durrell Dixon in 2002. She is survived by her husband, mother, Mary Lindsay, sister, Karissa Lindsay, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins who loved her dearly. Services will be held Tuesday, July 31 at Colorado Christian Fellowship. Viewing and visitation with the family will take place from 9-9:55AM, the funeral will begin at 10AM with a reception and private burial to follow.
