Brooke Asheley Sampson Obituary

Brooke Asheley Sampson, 36 of Seymour, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 6, 2020. If you knew Brooke Sampson, you know she was a devoted wife, dependable sister, incredible Aunt Brookie, and phenomenal friend. Brooke was married to her best friend Michael, for 7 ½ years but their adventures began 18 years ago. In their spare time, you could find them hiking, traveling, or spending time with their family. They participated in Hike the Smokies and within a two year span, they reached 250 miles. In December 2019 they were awarded the 250 mile pin for their achievements. If there was ever a sporting event, family gathering, or special occasion, you could always count on Brooke to be there. She was her siblings best friend and the glue that held everyone together. She attended every school program, dance recital or ball game that her niece and nephews were a part of. She regularly hosted slumber parties for them where they would always make cookies. Brooke’s love also went beyond family as she was a loyal, steadfast friend. She was a wonderful role model and inspiration to everyone that knew her. Brooke was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville. She poured her faith into the hearts of the youth group over many years. She was an extraordinary teacher. She accomplished many things in her educational journey including a Doctorate of Education. She taught in the Sevier County School System for 12 years. Her loss will be felt by many but her legacy lives on through the lives she has impacted. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Ina Bryan and father-in -law Al Sampson.
