Curtis Willie Johnson, Jr. was born on November 12, 1951 in Salisbury, Maryland to Lillie Mae Barkley and Curtis Willie Johnson, Sr. Curtis graduated from Salisbury High School in 1970 and he was a member of the track team. Curtis worked for Norman Edwards Construction Company, Peter Davis Construction Company and Evan’s Builders before retiring. He was a loving father of four children whom he shared with Jeannie Johnson and Maggie Snead. “Junebug,” as he was affectionately known, was a quiet, mild-mannered person who tended to get along with everybody. He was an excellent cook and a hard-worker. He enjoyed spending quiet times with his family. “Junebug” especially loved being on the water fishing and crabbing with his sisters, Sherry and Netta and with his boys, Dee and Donta. God received Curtis on Thursday, February 6, 2020. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hannah A. Johnson and his son, De’Ongalo Lamon Snead, Sr. He is survived by: his father and mother, Curtis Johnson, Sr. and Lillie Johnson; three children, Curtis Johnson III, Maurice Johnson (Malinda) and Donta Snead (Brenna); one brother, Arrie Johnson (Fran); three sisters, Aleta Farrington (Boyd), Cheryl Johnson and Bernetta White (Sherwood); one aunt, Theta Frazier (Eddie); one uncle, Herbert Watkins; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Jones, Francine Mason and Juanita Courtney; fifteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
