Amber Rose Wilkie, 35, of Larimore ND, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 9, 2017 at 8:00 PM. Amber was born Amber Rose Wilkie (Little Bright Shining Light) to Grace Wilkie in Minot, ND. She was a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of the Chippewa, from one of the 13 original families who settled Belcourt, ND. Amber loved her children more than anything, LJ, Joseph, Serenity, and Nathaniel. She loved to dance to music and socialize with her friends and family. Amber moved to Grand Forks, ND with her family in 1988 and went to J. Nelson Kelly, Lake Agazisz, Valley, and finally to Red River. Amber obtained her GED and a certificate in computers. Amber went on to work for several companies, but she most enjoyed her job at the Good Samaritan taking care of people, which is something Amber was very good at. Amber is very much loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Grace Wilkie, her brother, Halee Young Bird Cody Ferlo, very special sisters, Summer, Lund, Tina Torrez, Monica Delgado (Ochoa) and Sarah Schauer (Miles). Her children, sons LJ, Joseph, and Nathaniel, and daughter Serenity. Amber was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Virginia Wilkie, aunt, Georgia Peach, uncle, Leo Wilkie, Godfather, Marvin Wilkie and Godmother, Charlotte Wilkie, and numerous cousins. She is also preceded in death by her infant son, Jyle Wilkie.
