Eugene Steinkraus

Gene Steinkraus, age 74, was born December 18, 1945 in Wadena, Minnesota on a snowy -42 degree day. He passed away on February 6, 2020 on a rare snowy day in Corsicana, Texas. Gene enjoyed being outdoors. He spent countless hours working in his yard. Gene loved spending his time with his family and playing board games. He enjoyed going to estate sales, watching the history channel and endless craft projects in his workshop. Gene loved his country and was proud of being a Veteran. His greatest joy was in reading and studying his Bible and attending church services. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Grace Steinkraus. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Steinkraus; his children, Laura Machen and husband, Ivan of Dallas, Troy Steinkraus of Corsicana, Angie Hall and husband, James of Corsicana; grandchildren Wade Hall and wife, Kursti, Wesley Hall, and Willow Hall; his brother, Ced Steinkraus and wife Darlene of Minnesota and sister, Rania Neels of Minnesota. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, on Tuesday February 11, 2020 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel.
