Joe "Wookee" Russin

Joe "Wookee" Russin of Joppa, Maryland passed suddenly on February 6, 2020 in his sleep at the age of 61. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Joseph and Elsie “Cyndee” (Spurry) Russin. He was the beloved husband of Marilee Russin, devoted father to Lauren Russin Stouten and Brittany Nichole Russin-Smith, father in law to Mark Stouten, grandfather to Cali Kathleen Stouten, Mariana Giusappine Smith, and Wyatt Mitchel. He was a loving father to Amy Russin and Chris Russin and survived by sister Stephanie Russin-Blevins and Patricia Matheny, and their families. Joe was devoted to his wife Mary and his daughters, Lauren and Brittany. He was a loving Pap-Pap to Cali and Mariana. Joe adored his loyal companion Dixie. Joe was an avid Van enthusiast and enjoyed traveling to van events and showing his Vintage 69 ChevyVan, “The Beast” and his 89 GMC, “Big Red.” To all his Vanning Family, near and far he loved being part of the vanning community and will forever be part of the 2%. He was in his happy place when he was at a “Van Event” and his presence will be missed. Joe enjoyed hot crabs, cold beer, and classic Rock n’ Roll on the radio. He enjoyed traveling to visit family in the Mount Carmel, Natalie, and Johnstown areas of Pennsylvania where he loved to swap stories and spend time with his numerous cousins and extended family.
