Sandra “Sandy” Michelle Crosby 1955 - 2016 Sandy Crosby a lifelong resident of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Sandy was born on March 17, 1955 to Wilmer Allen Gates and Christine Strickland. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The joy of her life was serving the Lord and her two grandsons that she loved dearly. Sandy was a member of the Lawton Street Baptist Church. She retired from West Florida Hospital as a pharmacy technician. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilmer Allen Gates. Sandy is survived by her husband of 36 years, David Carl Crosby; daughter, Jody Crowe Young; two grandsons, Chase (Bubbie to Sandy) Allen Young and Tyler David Young; mother, Christine Strickland Gates; two sisters, Teresa Gates and Cheryl Gates; and one brother, Larry Gates. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Lawton Street Baptist Church with Pastor Jean Comans officiating. Burial will follow the services in Clopton Cemetery. The visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Pallbearers will be Donald Buffkin, Curtis Walker, Brandon Ellis, Willie Roper and two members of Lawton Street Baptist Church.
