On April 21, 1947 in Sherman, Texas Artie Sheppard and Ruth Evelyn Wyatt Reed welcomed their son Adolphus Leon Wyatt Sheppard. Adolphus received his formal education in the Sherman & Tulsa public schools and upon graduating high school he served his country by enlisting in the Air force. Adolphus then went on to work in the construction business and retired from Enterprise School Photos. Adolphus had many passions, such as swimming and music, but his most favorite was detailing cars. Adolphus Leon loved his family and friends deeply and truly was a top of the line kind of man. On Friday, September 9, 2016 Adolphus Leon Wyatt Sheppard entered into eternal life. Adolphus was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Evelyn Wyatt Reed and Artie Sheppard, and his son Ricki Sheppard. He is survived by, his sisters, Shirley Guy and Yolanda Hudson, uncle Joe Grant Wyatt and granddaughter Alma Jeanette Pernell, step-siblings, Harvey Reed, Ronnie Reed,Lillian Reed, Shirley Trent, & Sylvester Reed, niece Rhonda Reed Barnes, nephew Orlando Reed and a host of family and friends. Adolphus Leon Wyatt Sheppard loved life and lived it to the fullest; his absence in the earth realm will be sorely missed.
