Sarah J. Boris, 61, of Kingston, died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Morristown, NJ, she was a daughter of Bella Candeub Averbach and the late Dr. Emanuel Averbach. Sarah is survived by two sons, Sage Boris and Cory Boris, both of NY; two sisters, Judith of CO and Abigail Averbach of MA. She is also survived by her three beloved nieces, Leah, Nikita and Angelina, many Averbach and Candeub cousins and by her extended family: Rusty and Liz Boris, Bob & Carolyn Boris, Brenda Verbeck, Laurie, Paul, MIke and Patti. Sarahjane was a musician, an artist and an activist. She loved her adopted home of Kingston and formed many long lasting relationships and connections over the years. She was very proud of her sons, all their accomplishments and their unlimited potential. She recently returned to college and completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She had wonderful energy, a beautiful smile and a generous heart. She fought cancer like hell. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Simpson-Hammerl Funeral Home, 411 Albany Street, Kingston, with Rabbi Zoe B. Zak, officiating.
