Mary Margarett Miller Guest

Mary Margarett Miller Guest, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Bella Vista Golden Living Center, Rapid City. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at Serenity Springs Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 9, 2016, with Pastor Eric Grinager officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery at 11:30 AM. A reception will be held immediately after at the Rapid City VFW at 12:30. Mary was born November 22, 1927, in Custer, SD, attending school there and marrying her first husband, Hollis Miller in 1946. They raised their family in Lead, SD until he passed away in 1983. She later married Ray Guest who also preceded her in death. She will be missed by her children, Linda Price, Cheyenne, WY; Thomas Miller, Deadwood, SD; Marcia (Courtney D.) Torgrude, Rapid City, SD; and Dennis Miller, Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by her brother, Walter, Harbach, Jr.; and sisters, Rhoda Jacobs and Diane Wickham; seven grandchildren – Courtney H. (Tabitha) Torgrude, Mandy (Adam) Morris, Karla (Dave) Osborn, Ryan Salyer, Nicholas (Christine) Miller, Dustin (Jessica) Miller, Duke (Cathy) Miller, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Bella Vista Nursing home staff and the Hospice staff. In lieu of flowers, the family request that the donations be made to the Humane Society of the Black Hills.
