Peacefully, on Sunday, January 26, 2020, the Lakeridge Health Centre, in Port Perry, at age 93. Elizabeth (nee Dinsdale) of Port Perry, beloved wife of the late Eric Bishop. Loving mother of Beverley and her husband the late Don Gordon, Carol and her husband Alex Shepherd, and Catharine Bishop. GG will also be missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great, grandchildren. Born in Brockville, Ontario, Elizabeth has lived across Canada, in the U.S., and enjoyed vacation homes in Lake Kennebeck, ON, Grenada, W.I., Florida, U.S., as well as travel elsewhere. Elizabeth worked as an interior decorator, and was excellent at creating all forms of artwork from painting to pottery. She was president of a Lapidist Club, and loved rock-hounding. She was an avid bridge player and golfer. She was a director of the driving committee to establish Ottawa’s Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). And involved in many school committees. Elizabeth was interested in everything and everyone. A memorial service will be held at the Port Perry Villa on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be held in Ottawa, in the Spring.
