Russell "Russ" Beck, 85, of Dixon, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, at his home in Dixon, IL. He owned and operated Beck's Body shop from 1974-1989, prior to his retirement. Russ was born, October 1, 1934, in Deland, IL, the son of Earl and Edna (Atkinson) Beck. He married Betty Austin on October 11, 1952, in Clinton IA. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2011. Russ enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his three sons, Rick (Nancy) Beck, Robert Beck, Ronald (Stacey) Beck, all of Dixon; one brother, Charles Beck of CA; one sister, Doris (Larry) Bolhous of Oregon; three half-sisters, Patricia Troxel of Rochelle, Bonnie Bamborough of Chana, Carolynn (Donald) Williams of Rochelle; eight grandchildren, Angela (Bradley) Reigle, Stephanie (Chris) Beran, Derrick Beck, Zackery Beck, Mary Huseman, Christopher Acree, Kerrie Beauchamp, Kelsie Beauchamp; many great grandchildren; special pet and companion, Squeeky and special friends, June (Mike) Fritts. Russ was preceded in death by his parents Earl Beck and Edna Beck Williams; step-father, Edwin Williams; and one brother Lowell Beck. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, IL with Rev. Dr. Vincent O. Marrandino, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, IL. Memorials may be directed to Kreider Services 500 Anchor Rd, Dixon, IL, 61021 www.kreiderservices.org.
