Doris Kennett Stegall
Doris Kennett Stegall, 100, formerly of Collinsville, VA passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015. She was born on July 28, 1915 to the late Eliza Mullins Kennett and Thomas Jefferson Kennett in Franklin County, VA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Stegall, infant son, James Thomas Stegall, son, James Douglas Stegall; brothers, Robert Kennett, Harry Kennett, Andrew Kennett and Alonza Kennett. Mrs. Stegall was a member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church for more than seventy years. She retired from Fieldcrest Mills with thirty-eight years of service. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Stegall and Mary Daniska Stegall of Fieldale, VA and two grandchildren, Dr. Jeremy Stegall of Christiansburg, VA and Keri Stegall of Fieldale, VA. The funeral service will be held at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Norris Funeral Services. Burial will follow the service on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Smith Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1081, Collinsville, VA 24078. Norris Funeral Services Inc. and Crematory Martinsville, VA., is serving the Stegall family.
