Gloria Mae Pugh, 75, of Mattoon, passed away 5:24 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020, at OSF Healthcare, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Sullivan. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials may be made to the Praise Assembly of God Church, Charleston: 1300 Osage Rd, Charleston, IL 61920 Gloria was born January 19, 1945, in Lerna; the daughter of Chester Hugh and Betty Mae (Borrie) Eggers. She married Bradley A. Herendeen on September 25, 1964 in Lerna; he preceded her in death on October 5, 1991. She married James Pugh on August 12, 1996 in Charleston; he survives. Gloria was a member of the Praise Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, cooking and playing cards. Gloria loved spending time with all of her family. She is survived by her husband, James of Mattoon; sons, George Herendeen of Quincy, Charles (Marie) Herendeen of Mattoon; Danny (Elizabeth) Herendeen of Charleston; step-sons, James (Carol) Pugh of Loxa and Glen (Connie) Pugh of Springfield, MO; step-daughters, Karen (Gary) Lawrence of Windsor and Melanie (Paul) Marriage of Westville. She is also survived by 9 brothers, 6 sisters, 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bradley Herendeen, several brothers and sisters.
