Katherine Marie Henry, 61, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. at Abilene Funeral Home "Chapel of Hope" with the Reverend Paul Matta officiating.
Kathy was born Wednesday, February 26, 1958, in Abilene, Texas to John J. and Vera Frances Schmidt. Kathy enjoyed bowling, gardening, but her greatest joy was cooking and baking for her family and was a Certified Baker for Golden Corral during her employment with them. Kathy was currently employed by West Texas Linen for approximately 12 years. Kathy will be greatly missed by all those that loved her and knew her.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father: John J. Schmidt, both her grandparents, brother: Michael St. Clair, two nephews: Brandon Jacobs and Jimmy Schmidt.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother Vera Frances St.Clair, two sons: Travis Allen Henry and wife Starla of Abilene and Pikie Daniel Roberts of Wichita Falls, three brothers: Jerry Don Schmidt, Albert Eugene Schmidt and wife Dovie and John Allen Schmidt all of Abilene, three sisters: Susan Hensley and partner Hayden Large of Abilene, Sharon Manske and husband Ernie of Merkel and Deanne Schmidt of California, two special grandchildren Ava and Eli, along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends at a visitation Monday, January 27, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.,a small service will be held from 7:00-7:20 P.M. at Abilene Funeral Home "Chapel of Hope" 3349 N. 12th Street.
