Clois “Gus" "Buddy” Patton, age 78, battling cancer, departed this life peacefully Friday January 24, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 21, 1941 in Huntsville, TN to the late Virgil Lee Patton and Beatrice Carroll Patton. He was a devoted family man, avid coon hunter and a sports fan, especially University of Tennessee. He was an outgoing, friendly man that will be missed by his family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Virgil and Beatrice Patton; his sister Lelia Mae Patton-Winkler and husband John Winkler and his loving wife Margaret Sue Powell-Patton. He is survived by his son Teddy Dean Patton; brothers, Bobby and wife Carol Patton, Ronnie Dean and his wife Dee Patton, Jackie Lee and Judy Day; sisters, Lillian Patton- Sexton and brother-in-law Eldon Sexton, Shelia Faye Patton-Harness and husband Wick, Joetta Patton-Hines and husband David, Jeanetta Patton – Krahn and late husband Don, Rosie Patton-Brown and husband Jim, Rhonda Lynn Patton-Chitwood and husband Tommy. Also, his special friend Thelma Jeffers and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive immediate family from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. noon , rest of family and friends from 12:00 P.M. noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 27, 2020, in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by Tammy Hutson. Graveside service will follow at the Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fairview, TN. Pallbearers will be Brian Patton, Michael Woodward, David Woodward, Chris Brown, Chad Patton and Hunter Trammell. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to American Cancer Society, Huntsville Hospice or a charity of your choice.
