Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother Marie Algieri, 94 of Nutley, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Born in Newark, Marie was a Nutley resident for over 70 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Adeline (De Aquino) De Luca and retired as a cafeteria manager for Deluxe Check Printers of Clifton. The beloved wife of the late Fred Algieri, Marie is survived by her sons, Frederick Algieri and his wife, Shirley, Robert Algieri and his wife, Linda, William Algieri and his wife, Debbie, and Joseph Algieri and his wife Carol; 8 grandchildren, Fred Jr., Joseph, Kristyn, Donald, AnnMarie, Amanda, Joseph, and Samantha; 4 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooke, Dean, and Valerie; and also many loving nieces and nephews who she enjoyed spending time with. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Donald De Luca and her sister, Ruth Longo. The funeral will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at 8:30am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. The Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 9:30am. The entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6pm.
