Betty Lou (Murrow) Ging Eulogy: Told by Betty Ging to Derrial Nichols in 2011 Betty Ging was born on September 2, 1926 to the parents of Leonard Daniel Murrow and Carmolette Olive Murrow, in wood county (near Dacoma,OK), on a farm. She went to a one room school house for 8 years (Pleasant View in Woods County/South of Pleasant View Cemetery). She went to Dacoma High School for four years and graduated in 1944. She met Hubert Ging in high school and he was her bus driver. Hubert went into the service during WWII while Betty worked at TG&Y in Cherokee, Ok she lived with her aunt Anna. When Hubert returned from the war they married and lived in Waynoka, Ok for their first year of marriage and after living in Carmen, Ok for a short while moved to Blackwell, Ok in February of 1948 where she resided until she passed on April 27, 2014. Betty Ging survived by her daughter, Earlene Linnabary of Maize, Ks and her son in law Rick Linnabary, a daughter in law Joyce Ging of Erie, Ks, her sister in law Neleda Murrow of Alva, Ok, two nephews Larry Murrow of Guthrie, Ok and Gary Murrow of Alva, Ok. Five grandchildren and their spouses: Derrial and Darren Nichols of Sedgwick, Ks, Chris and Christy Spruill of Wichita, Ks, Vanessa McClure of Sedgwick, Ks, Rose and Brian Daffron of Goddard, Ks and Wesley and Mary Ging of Wichita, Ks. Ten great grandchildren: Jared and Blake Nichols, Jacob and Joshua Spruill, Allison McClure, Haley and Dameon Daffron, Wesley Jr, Jackson, and Cameron Ging. She is preceded in death by her husband Hubert Eugene Ging, her son Tommy Lee Ging, her parents and her only brother Earl Dean Murrow. Betty Ging was a lifetime member of Eastern Star. She belongs to the Christian Church in Blackwell, Ok and the Harmony Sunday school class.
