Susan Hackbarth

Susan “Sue B.” Hackbarth (nee Boerschinger), age 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her home in West Bend. She was born on January 18, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Elmer and Sophie (nee Kraft) Boerschinger. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and later retired from Workforce Development. Sue B loved volunteering and then being the President of New Beginnings Shih Tzu Rescue. She also enjoyed crafting and making nice items for family and friends. Sue B was just the “best person one could know” and will be greatly missed! Susan is survived by her loving husband, James; stepdaughter, Kimberly (Bobby) Sorheim; grandchildren, Brayden and Owen Hackbarth; life-long-friend, Linda Eichman. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Susan is preceded in death by her parents and auntie Marie Boerschinger. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials are appreciated to New Beginnings Shih Tzu Rescue (NBSTR.org). A special thank you to Dr. Colin Mooney and the Kraemer Cancer Center in West Bend.
