Elnora Lorretta Smith, age 92, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Thursday morning, January 16, 2020 in the comfort of her family’s presence. She was born February 17, 1927 in Lakeville, Indiana, one of twelve children of Joseph and Minnie Sheteron. She married Edward C. Smith September 11, 1949 in Gardner, Montana. Elnora enjoyed bird watching, reading, and watching horror movies. She was active in her church and enjoyed fellowship. She loved her grandchildren and attended all of their school events. Elnora will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Coreen (Richard) Osborn of Three Rivers, Karen Barnes of Jones, Tina (Sam Bainbridge) Smith of Jones; one son, David Joseph (Janice) Smith of Fife Lake, Michigan; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; one sister, Betty Hershberger of Cassopolis; five brothers, Joseph (Lee) Sheteron of Antigo, Wisconsin, Clifford (Crystal) Sheteron of Grand Rapids, Paul (Ellen) Sheteron of Decatur, Roy (Mary) Sheteron of White Pigeon, Omer Sheteron of Constantine; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, Jenifer Shutes; four brothers, Donald Sheteron, Sr., Lowell Sheteron, Eddie Sheteron, Howard Sheteron; and one sister, Evelyn Bowman. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis.
