Everette Rex Casto Sr., 84, of Leroy passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 following a short illness. He was born June 24, 1935 at Belgrove, a son of the late Leonard Oshel and Coonie Southall Casto. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired after many years in the construction industry. He loved family gatherings and enjoyed sitting on the front porch alongside his family. He is survived by his children Everette “Sonny” Casto Jr. (Deborah), Jeff Casto (Roberta), Lisa Tabor (John), Marlene Whitehouse (David); sisters Jean Jeffries (Glen) and Linda Fisher; Grandchildren Heather Rawlings, Kayla Casto, Nathan Casto, Shane Casto, Ray Snyder, Shala Snyder, Lianne Katris, and Darren Whitehouse; Great-Grandchildren Britain Casto, Braylen Casto, Bailey Casto, Kylee Rawlings, Melina Rawlings, Heidi Boggess, Daxon Whitehouse, and Mayleigh Whitehouse. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Fields. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Aplin Church with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Aplin Cemetery.
